The challenge I find myself facing is one that I am sure faces all educators, how to maintain the balance of leading, inspiring, and educating a new wave of would be professionals? 10 months ago I found myself peering in at the Higher Education sector wondering how I could make the transition from industry to education. My motivation and self imposed challenge is to ensure that I can inspire students to be passionate about their learning, whilst maintaing a balance of realism, professional standards and development of industry specific skills. Developing professionals that can positively influence sport and leisure continues to drive me and undertaking post graduate training to improve my teaching skills and knowledge will be another step to fulfilling these ambitions.
